res345 Curated by Amy Wilson Curator Amy Wilson is facilitating a living transformation of this abandoned 345 Franklin Street SW residence, creating a visual / performing arts venue. res345 artists’ site-responsive works will draw from the history and aesthetics of the home, encompassing graphic and visual art, film, installation, sculpture, dance, live performance, and music. Award-winning director Erin Wilson and acclaimed collective DITA will create an original, site-responsive film in areas of the house that are not accessible to the public. res345 performances during ArtPrize 2015 occur on a rotating schedule. Some performances will be spontaneous; some will be planned in advance. Patrons are invited to view works from inside and outside the transformed residence, breaking down the barriers between performer and audience, and blurring the line between visitor and voyeur.

ARTPRIZE AWARDS $40,000 IN GRANTS TO EMERGING CURATORS AND PARTNER INSTITUTIONS

Earlier this year, ArtPrize announced its new Fellowship for Emerging Curators program, designed to offer emerging curators the opportunity to gain valuable experience working alongside a curator at an established ArtPrize institutional venue during the seventh annual event. The participating venues for this inaugural year include Grand Rapids Art Museum (GRAM), SiTE:LAB, Urban Institute for Contemporary Art (UICA) and Kendall College of Art and Design (KCAD).
